Poor standard of work
03/07/2022 - Email from Adam Fenwick, Senior Maintenance Design Technician, Lincolnshire County Council,
Thank you for your email regarding the ongoing footway patching works in Normanby and Owmby by Spital.
This patching work is to repair the structural defects in preparation for a new micro surface to be laid over the entire length of these footways. The new surface will regulate, seal and protect the existing footway as well as the new patching. We have found through past experience it is better to use the larger base course stone for the patching as it is stronger and more open allowing better adhesion of the new surface. Our contractor will be carrying out the micro surfacing here in the next few weeks, prior to the application the residents will be letter dropped with our information leaflet (link) and notices will be placed onsite.
25/06/2022 - Many of you will notice that works have been carried out to pavements around the village. The Parish Council do not believe this has been carried out to an appropriate standard and this has been indicated to Highways and also our County Councillor.
